What is an apprentice?
An Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised qualification that is valued by Premier Care and gives you a great start to your career.
Apprentices work as employees with experienced staff to gain job specific skills, whilst working towards a number of qualifications and gaining experience. All whilst getting paid – learn while you earn.  
There are two types of Apprenticeship qualifications:
The level you start with depends on your skills and experience.

Apprenticeship Vacancy

Apprentice/Home Care Support Worker (18-24) Vacancies in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area

Are you aged between 18 to 24, hold a full driving licence and have your own car? 

The Academy currently has a limited number of places for individuals who wish to achieve an Intermediate (level 2) Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Adults).

You will gain work experience in all aspects of the role along with the relevant training to achieve your qualifications. A willingness to learn is essential along with good written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in care is not essential, but would be an advantage.

As an Apprentice you need to be able to demonstrate:

• High standards of personal appearance and hygiene
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work within a team or on your own
• The ability to keep calm in busy and pressured situations
• Good customer service skills and a caring nature
• Health and Safety awareness
• An interest in supporting and caring for people
